WFAD Public Input Meeting

WFAD Public Input Meeting

The “Walk-For-A-Day” (WFAD) regional trail vision that is being proposed by Hill Country Conservancy and other partners will someday become “reality” as a 35+ mile multi-use trail extending from Zilker Park/Barton Springs through the Barton Creek Greenbelt, the City of Sunset Valley and City of Austin Water-Quality Lands south of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, ending at the Onion Creek Natural Area west of Kyle.

Discussions among key stakeholders have evolved during the past few months from “big picture planning” to consideration of several alternative designs and routes through which the trail might traverse.

Public Meeting: July 15th, 2009

So here’s your chance to help us plan and design the trail! In preparation for more specific planning – and creation of a Trail Master Plan this fall, the trail planners want to hear from you at a Public “Open House” Meeting Wednesday, July 15th (6:30 – 8:30 pm) at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Please plan to attend this “Open House” to learn more about the proposed trail and provide input that will be used to guide the trail planners as they prepare to bring this trail vision to reality.

Y’all come!
