Hill Country Conservancy thanks REI for their support of habitat restoration at Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve. With their $5000 contribution in 2008, HCC was able to conduct restoration projects geared toward public education about various aspects of watershed management. More specifically, this grant allowed us to hold workdays where we taught dozens of volunteers the proper techniques for things like invasive brush removal, creation of erosion berms, and runoff management.
It’s grants like these that make conservation outreach possible. Thanks REI!
REI has been great to work with! Thank you so much for providing incredible gear, water bottles, and tools for future workdays! We hope to continue this incredible partnership into 2009!
And a little history on the extraordinary support REI has provided the Austin community….REI has sponsored volunteer service day projects to maintain Austin's parks and trails since 1990! Looking forward to June 6th National Trails Day volunteer day on the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Yeah, REI! George Cofer
