Earth Day Wrap-Up
EarthDay

After months of preperation, Earth Day 2009 was a great success! Over 1200 people showed up to support HCC and jam out with Guster. Head over to the website to see the wrap-up article with ton's of wonderful pictures (thanks Jim Innes!).

National Trails Day

Sign up today for the National Trails Day Service Project, a joint conservation effort to clean-up and repair trailheads along the greenbelt. The project also marks the first phase of the Walk for a Day Trail with a ribbon cutting.

There will be several family-friendly activities after the clean-up including a free swim at Barton Springs and a Salt Lick lunch!

Guided Wildflower Hike!
Wildflower Hike

Hill Country Conservancy is hosting a free wildflower hike at one of our private conservation lands, Autumn Woods. The hike is on Saturday, May 9th and will be lead by our favorite Master Naturalist, Cheyenne.

Register now because there are only twenty spots available!

Outreach: Conservation Kids

As part of our mission to spread awareness about water quality issues, Andrea and Cheyenne recently made a trip to Clayton Elementary where they gave an exciting aquifer presentation to several classes.

The kids loved the aquifer model and all went home with seeds and planting instrutions. See some pictures and an adorable thank-you letter here.
