National Trails Day 2010

National Trails Day 2010

National Trails Day 2010 was a colossal success thanks to over 315 volunteers who came out to support trail building and maintenance at the Barton Creek Greenbelt from the Zilker Trailhead to Campbell’s Hole on June 5th. Thank you to everyone that participated!

The first 4.5 miles of the Barton Creek Greenbelt will serve as the beginning of the Walk For A Day Trail. The Walk For A Day trail is a 34 mile trail that will stretch from Barton Springs pool at the Zilker Trailhead to the Onion Creek Natural area in Kyle. Hill Country Conservancy is delighted to spearhead the project and restore existing trail as we work our way south toward Kyle. Stay tuned for details about National Public Lands Day on September 25th at the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trailhead.
