HCC accepts the Take on Traffic Award

Woo-hoo! Andrea proudly accepted the Austin Chamber of Commerce “Take On Traffic” award at the Greater Austin Business Awards last week. The award recognizes HCC’s effort to help with Austin’s traffic problem by using alternate transportation methods to get to and from work, and our efforts with the Walk For A Day Trail and the positive impact that will ultimately have in promoting alternative transportation.

From the Austin Business Journal:

The [Hill Country Conservancy] not only offers employees the option to telecommute, but it insists and encourages it. Employees also participate in the Austin Commuter Challenge and biked a total of 1,066 miles throughout the month of May.
