11:30 a.m. @ Green Pastures (811 W Live Oak St.)
At this season’s Lunch & Learn, David Buggs, Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, will moderate a panel including Dominique Bowman (Huston-Tillotson University), Dave Cortez (Sierra Club), and Marisa Perales (environmental attorney), as they discuss their experience as people of color practicing environmentalism and conservation in and outside of Austin. The panelists will also offer insight into how Austin’s predominantly white environmental movement can become more collaborative across race. This event is sold out.
