Are you ready to ROCK?!? In Austin, music is tied to just about everything, and of course the environment is no exception! That’s why on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 The Old 97’s with special guest Ben Kweller are joining forces with Hill Country Conservancy and the Sierra Club for a benefit concert.
The Old 97’s are a group of Dallas-natives, infamous for their rock, punk, pop, classic country influenced tunes and are currently in the studio recording their eighth studio album.
Ben Kweller is an Austin resident who was described by Rolling Stone magazine as a “Texas-bred rock prodigy devoted to tunecraft and lyrical wit.” His most recent studio album, Changing horses was recorded in Austin and released 2009.
All proceeds from the show benefit the Sierra Club and Hill Country Conservancy.
