  • *Jon Beall (Treasurer)
    Jon Beall sat on the Board of Envision Central Texas, formed in 2001 to assist in the public development and implementation of a regional vision addressing the growth of Central Texas. In addition, Jon serves as a Board Member for the Save Barton Creek Association, a non-profit formed in 1979 to protect the six watersheds that feed the Barton Springs’ Edwards Aquifer, and on the Board of the Wilbarger Creek Conservation Alliance. He is also a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, and the Citizens Advisory Committee for LCRA.
  • Ryan Berger

    Mr. Berger is a Principal in The Berger Company and is the Founder of Ryan Berger Properties, an affiliate of The Berger Company based in Austin, Texas. Through the affiliated company, he seeks retail, hospitality, & parking investment and development opportunities with a geographic focus in Texas and the Southeastern United States. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member and an active member of the Real-Estate Council of Austin. Mr. Berger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Jeb Boyt is an attorney in private practice. Previously, he has worked at the Office of the Texas Attorney General, the Texas General Land Office, and the Railroad Commission of Texas. Jeb is a Board Member of the Alliance for Public Transportation and Austin Metro Trails & Greenways. He has previously served on the City of Austin’s Parks Board, Downtown Commission, and Waller Creek Commission. A native of Liberty County, Jeb has lived in Austin since 1993.

    A lifelong Austinite, Cooper Drenner holds a BBA in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from the University of Texas. Cooper joined Heritage Title in 2011 with the title of Commercial Business Development Representative. Cooper has a diverse background in commercial real estate with experience in leasing, brokerage, debt origination, and land entitlements. Active in business, civic, and charitable organizations, Cooper is involved in a wide range of organizations in Austin. He is a member of the 2010 Leadership Development Class of The Real Estate Council of Austin. He also served as committee members for RECA’s Knock Out Night, Christmas in October, and Vote Now Austin. He is an active member in the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute as well.
  • Dowe D. Gullatt

    For over three decades Dowe Gullatt has represented the interests of individuals and businesses dealing with governmental, business, real estate, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, sports, and entertainment issues. Dowe began his career as Assistant to the Director of Public Affairs and Staff Attorney for the University of Texas System. He has served as Director of Business Development for OZZ Research; he was a partner in, EMTEEN, L.L.C., specializing in the development of strategic partners for start-up enterprises; and an owner of Worldwide Security Consultants, marketing a portable security device. Additionally, Dowe was a sports agent representing professional athletes in addition to his other practice areas. He was also listed in The Best Lawyers in America (Municipal Law) in 2007. Dowe also has substantial experience with state and municipal contractual and procurement issues on behalf of business clients.

    Lea Holubec has been in Mortgage Banking in Austin for over 30 years. She is currently Vice President for BancorpSouth, managing 3 offices in the Austin area with annual production of $180 million. Lea serves in several boards and has received numerous awards for her community service. She is a graduate of Baylor University Business School. Lea loves being outdoors in Austin using hike and bike trails and the Austin surrounding lakes. She is a member of Austin Mortgage Bankers, Austin Board of Realtors, Greater Austin Builders Association. Lea is married to Paul and they have two teenagers, Lindsay and Thomas.

    Gerardo Interiano currently serves as the Head of Google Fiber Community Affairs in Texas. Prior to joining Google, Gerardo served as Counsel to Speaker Joe Straus in the Texas House of Representatives during the 82nd Legislature. He had previously worked as Deputy Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager for U.S. Congressman Lamar Smith in Washington, D.C. Gerardo also served as an Appointments Manager in Governor Rick Perry’s Administration and as Chief Committee Clerk of the Texas House Appropriations Committee during the 80th Legislature. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 2006. Gerardo is married to the former Aynsley Fuess and they have two daughters, Isabela and Sofia.

    Laura Lane grew up in Austin and obtained both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Texas. She has spent her Audiology career in adult and pediatric diagnostics and hearing aid dispensing with Austin Regional Clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, Austin Audiological Society, and is Board Certified. Laura is a proud Austin native who enjoys hiking, biking, and picnics in the Texas hill country with her husband and young son.

    Carlotta is a fifth generation Austinite with over 17 years of land brokerage experience in the Austin area. Carlotta is able to handle an array of land transactions including residential, commercial, ranch/recreational, and investment. Carlotta’s primary focus has been land in the southwest markets of Austin including Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, Lakeway, and the Hill Country to the west. Carlotta received a degree in history from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. Prior to joining the Land Advisors Organization, Carlotta worked with Wilson & Goldrick Realtors, Allen Real Estate, and the Austin White Lime Company. Carlotta is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Austin Board of Realtors, the Texas Alliance of Land Brokers, Austin Commercial Real Estate Society and serves on the board of the Real Estate Council of Austin.

    Austin Pediatric Surgery

    Dr. Tory Meyer grew up in Chappaqua, New York and received his bachelor of arts in Biology at Yale University. After taking a year to work and travel, he attended Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and received his medical degree. Dr. Meyer spent the following seven years at the University Hospital in Cincinnati where he completed a General Surgery Residency including two years of basic science research in the area of intestinal cytokine production during sepsis. He did his Pediatric Surgery Fellowship and an ECMO Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati. He is board certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Meyer moved to Austin in 2000 and has been active in multiple hospital committees including the Dell Children’s Medical Center planning committees, the Peer Review committee, and the Surgery Council in which he has served as the past Department Chief of Pediatric Surgery. He is the present Vice-Chief of Staff at Dell Children’s. His surgical interests include laparoscopy and thoracoscopy and surgical oncology. He is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society.

His family has been ranching in South Texas for almost 200 years, and he has spent his life developing a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and bounty of Texas. Will moved to Austin seven years ago to court a cute girl from Waco. He and Catherine now spend their days directing the energy of their two-year-old daughter, Genevieve. In his free time, he enjoys work as an independent oil and gas consultant, volunteering for HCC and Friends of the Governor’s Mansion, editing for Spearing Magazine, and the occasional freedive spearfishing adventure.

Mr. Rocchio is a member of the Urban Land Institute – Austin Chapter.

    As the PR Manager for Green Mountain Energy Company, Katie Ryan leads strategy and execution for all media opportunities and internal communications. Katie supports Green Mountain’s residential, commercial and corporate efforts through press outreach, digital campaigns, and customer and employee engagement. Through these channels, she provides increased awareness, education and advocacy for the nation’s longest serving green power marketer. Prior to Green Mountain, Katie spent six years with international PR agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. Katie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Business Honors and Marketing degree and spent her first year after college driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. She is also a graduate of Leadership Austin, class of 2011. Katie is an active EPIC member and a big fan of the hill country for the running, hiking, riding bikes and the sunrises it provides.
  • Robert D. Schlechter, MD

    Dr. Schlechter is a native of Western Pennsylvania and graduated from Johns Hopkins University and The Chicago Medical School. He trained in General Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans and in Pediatric Surgery at McGill University/The Montreal Children’s Hospital. After completing his training he moved to Austin in 1984. He is board certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Schlechter has been President of Children’s Hospital of Austin Medical Staff and Seton’s Network Medical Staff, as well as Chief of Trauma at Children’s Hospital. He is the present Surgeon in Chief at Dell Children’s. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association. His surgical interests include inguinal hernias, neonatal surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.

    Rob Shands joined Live Oak-Gottesman in June 2011 as Vice President of Finance. Shands oversees financial analysis for both the development and services teams within the organization. Additionally, he plays an integral part in the asset acquisition/disposition and development transactions, providing extensive financial consultation. Prior to joining the Live Oak-Gottesman team, Shands spent seven years with Frost Bank in Austin, Texas. Shands began his career in June 2004 as Associate Relationship Manager and progressively received promotions to his final position as Vice President in 2010 where he oversaw a $50MM commercial real estate portfolio consisting of retail, office, industrial, multi-family, land and mini-storage loans. Shands has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance from the University of Mississippi. Shands is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) and was a member of the 2007 Leadership Development Class.

    Craig Smith has served on the District board of the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District (BSEACD) since 1998 as the representative of Precinct No. 5, which includes Barton Springs. He is an Assistant Travis County Attorney and a year-round daily swimmer (100 miles in 2012). He is also a Board Member of Save Barton Creek Association.

    Taylor Terkel is responsible for sourcing, developing and underwriting commercial real estate ventures for FourT Realty. Prior to relocating to Austin, Ms. Terkel was an Associate in the Debt Placement group at Eastdil Secured, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wells Fargo. During her time at Eastdil Secured, Ms. Terkel successfully closed over $1.5 billon of permanent and interim financings and over $500 million of secondary loan sales. Prior to joining Eastdil Secured, Ms. Terkel was an Associate with Capmark in New York City and an Analyst with Clark Realty Capital in Washington, D.C. Ms. Terkel is a licensed salesperson in Texas and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Austin chapter, Real Estate Council of Austin, and ICSC. Ms. Terkel received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and graduated cum laude with distinction as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.

    Will Wheeler is an accomplished executive with 26 years consulting experience providing senior management oversight in the formulation and implementation of land development strategies. He has acted as Principal-in-Charge on a wide variety of project types within both public and private sectors, each providing direct benefit to the surrounding economies. His expertise includes master planned communities, regional office parks, retail centers, multi-family developments, distribution centers and regional infrastructure expansion. Additionally, Mr. Wheeler has worked extensively in supporting many prominent developers through site acquisition, entitlement, and pre-development process.
  • Ashley Kegley Whitehead

    Among many of her public relations responsibilities, Ashley Kegley Whitehead leads the social media practice for Buie & Co. and was a key contributor to the firm’s leadership in adopting and promoting social media as a strategic communications tool. In a typical day, Ashley does anything from community involvement and messaging to web site development and media outreach. She thrives on the balance between creativity and strategy that Buie & Co. provides. Some of her current clients include the City of Dripping Springs, Williamson County’s Road Bond Program, Ferrari of North America and HDR, Inc.  She graduated cum laude from Texas State University and received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. Ashley is a Leadership Austin graduate, a former member of HCC’s Emerging Professionals in Conservation Leadership Council, a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Austin Chapter, Secretary of the City’s Off Leash Animal Advisory Committee, a member of The Trail Foundation, Real Estate Council of Austin and a volunteer with Keep Austin Beautiful.
